Dancing Lights/Towers of Lights
The "Dancing Lights" photograph was taken by my then 4-year-old son, capturing the WTC "Towers of Lights" on the anniversary of September 11th. In his fledgling exploration with my camera, he inadvertently immortalized the beams in motion, creating a blur that birthed what he saw as a dance. Through his innocent and imaginative eyes, these towering lights weren’t just static memorials; they swayed with a vivacity that only a child could envision. His simple yet profound observation—that the towers looked like they were dancing—turns a moment of remembrance into one of hopeful reflection. It speaks to the resilience of the human spirit: even amidst the weight of past grief, there blooms a possibility for grace, movement, and joy. In this spontaneous creation, we find a reminder to embrace the lightness of being and to seek out moments of beauty, even in the shadows.
